Maoists seized the state power, NC leader fears

DHANKUTA: An NC leader has said that the UCPN (Maoist) captured the state power by giving no space to opponent political parties and vacating all the constitutional bodies.

NC leader Shekhar Koirala said that the Maoists were maximum misusing the state power thereby capturing the power creating constitutional vacuum in the country.

Speaking at a meet the press in Dhankuta organized by the Press Union Dhankuta chapter, the NC leader warned of serious crisis in the country if parties failed to forge a consensus within one/two days.

“The country will be a failure state if consensus was not forged. The NC and UML are also demonstrating for a consensus,” Koirala said.
