Nepal police guns down abductors while rescuing abducted girl



Parsa: Nepal police gunned down two abductor in cross firing while rescuing a girl from their clutches in the eastern part of the nation. 

A police investigation team engaged in cross firing with the abductors to rescue the 8 year old girl- Sulok Agrawal-abducted nine days earlier for ransom.

The two deceased have been identified as Sanjay Giri of Bhedihari and Bindeshwor of Hapur village. Along with them two police personels sustained bullet injuries in the cross firing.

The police personals have been identified as Sanjay Giri and Badha Bahadur Thapa. They were rushed to the Narayani Zonal hospital and were reported to be stable.

Police had raided the house of a local Ramnath Giri suspecting that the child was being hidden in the house. However the abductors opened fire on the police when called for surrendering, the Parsa police reported.

Police have detained six persons including uncle of the child, Kunal Agrawal, and booked them for extortion and abduction.
