Man goes missing in Kaligandaki

SYANGJA: A man has gone missing after he fell off a motorboat used for ferrying people across the reservoir of the Kaligandaki ‘A’ Hydropower Project in Kaligandaki VDC-9, Syangja district.

According to Pradip Kumar DC, Police Inspector at the Ward Police Office, Waling, Surya Bahadur Rana, 30, of Nibuwakharka VDC, Ward No. 3, went missing after falling off the motorboat heading to Mirmi from Setibeni, an area on the tri-junction of Syangja, Parbat and Gulmi districts.

Thapa went missing at midnight while he was returning after dropping people at a wedding ceremony at Rambha of Arbeni VDC Ward No 2, added DC.

Locals and police have been searching for the missing man.
