Nepal’s pro-royalist party seconds Maoist proposal

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal Chairman Kamal Thapa, a veteran pro-royalist politician, has hailed UCPN (Maoist) proposal to form Chief Justice-led election government.
This was a welcome step, he said at a meet the press program in the capital. Elections should not be delayed in any pretext as that would only invite more foreign interference.
At a time when the NC and CPN (UML) are staging protest for forming an NC-led government, the royalist leaders suspected that any of the seven political parties could not hold an impartial election.
