NC -UML agitation cannot topple BRB government: Baidya
KATHMANDU: CPN Maoist Chairman Mohan Baidya aka “Kiran” has claimed that the ongoing protests led by Nepali Congress and CPN UML cannot toppled the government.
While stating that the objective of the opposition led agitation to be in national interests, Baidya said that their efforts were not sufficient to achieve their aim.
Speaking at a party program in Butwal on Sunday, Baidya said that though NC and UML were preparing to topple the government, they still lacked a strategy for dealing with the post Bhattarai government dissolution period.
Adding to that, Baidya said, they still rely on the President for dealing with an unexpected turn of event and in such a condition they cannot succeed in their mission.
He advised the opposition parities to draft clear working strategy for succeeding in their mission. Responding to Prachanda’s recent proposal of CJ-led consensus government, Baidya said that his party won’t accept the proposal at any cost.
Baidya reiterated that the only option to resolve all political crisis will be to organise round table conference comprising all parties contributing in the great Janandolan.
Stating that India has reaping all the benefits of Nepal’s all revolution, Baidya said that the nation’s souther neighbour will again benefit from the opposition’s ongoing protest programs.
