Ex-police officer living in UK establishes fund under grandparents’ name

LONDON: A former Nepal Police office currently living in the UK has established a revolving fund under the name of his grandparents in Jalpa Higher Secondary School, Okhaldhunga.

Shivaji Shrestha has provided Rs 100,000 to establish the revolving fund under the name of grandfather Surya Shrestha and grandmother Shreemaya. Surya was a democracy fighter and the Rana rulers had confiscated his all properties.

Shivaji’s parents Hom Bahadur Shrestha and Prem Kumari handed over the bank cheque to District Education Officer Kedar Kumar Giri. Shivaji is currently living in Wales, the UK.
