Indian envoy calls on PM, Prachanda
KATHMANDU: At a time when the major political parties were in the final stage to form the CJ-election government, Indian Ambassador to Nepal Jayant Prasad today called on Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai and UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.
During the meeting held at the residence of Prachanda in Lazimpat, the Indian envoy is learnt to have suggested the leaders to end the present deadlock through the CA polls.
A source said that Prasad also urged Dahal and Bhattarai to take initiative to end the country’s political deadlock.
The Indian Ambassador had reached Dahal’s residence along with Nepali Congress leader Amresh Kumar Singh.
