Some 60,000 Nepalis to benefit from Saudi government’s amnesty to illegal workers



KATHMANDU: The Saudi government has announced amnesty to illegal workers in the country. Nearly, 60,000 Nepalis are expected to benefit from the Saudi government’s announcement where

Some 500,000 Nepalis are working to earn their living. After this announcement, those illegally working Nepalis would have a golden opportunity to return to home.

Nepali diplomats in Saudi Arabia have hailed the decision saying that it was a golden opportunity for Nepalis.

Saudi Arabia’s labor minister Adel Fakei had made such announcement saying that those people living illegally in the Saudi Kingdom have been offered amnesty.  Fugitive workers and workers without passport also can return to their home after the fresh announcement.

However, those under the criminal charges would not be benefitted from the decision.
