Ishwor Pokhrel again says same figure cannot lead judiciary, executive

BIRATNAGAR: CPN (UML) General Secretary Ishwor Pokhrel who has been voicing against the parties’ decision to form the CJ-led government today also said that singe person should not be made the head of both the Judiciary and Executive.

Pokhrel said the recently held central committee meeting of the UML had decided to form the CJ-led government without infringing the theory of separation of power.

The UML General Secretary Pokhrel was talking to media here today.  He further said the political parties should forge a consensus for the political leadership on the option that was acceptable to all and give political outlet to the nation. All political parties want the exit of the current government as it has lost political, constitutional, and moral bases to stay in power, he added.
