Fire destorys property worth 11 million in Dhankuta

DHANKUTA:A fire destroyed seven houses gutting property worth Rs 11.1 million at Mulghat Bazaar in Dhankuta district last night.

The fire broke out from Bal Bahadur Shrestha’s house at around 11:00 pm and destroyed seven houses including two of his own. Houses of neighbor Rekha Poudel, Yagya Bahadur Thapa, Tilak Khatri, Ram Kumar Rai and Khem Bahadur Thapa were also destroyed in the fire.

Four retail shops, three hotels and a drug house were destroyed by fire, said Padam Bahadur Khadka, Chief of Armed Police Force, Mulghat. The fire was brought under control only at 7:00 am this morning through the joint efforts of the Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, Nepal Army and the locals.
