Financial problem unlikely for holding CA poll

KATHMANDU: Newly appointed Finance Minister Shankar Prasad Koirala has pledged to provide means and resources needed for holding the fresh Constituent Assembly (CA) elections.

“There will be no financial lacking for election. Finance Ministry will arrange everything.” The secretary turned minister was talking to media after assuming his office on Tuesday.

Similarly, Minister Koirala said giving a boost to the nation’s economic growth was his main objective. He also informed that the finance ministry working to prepare both the supplementary budget and full budget.

Minister Koirala also assured to create an investment-friendly environment in the country in his bid to expedite the economic growth.

Earlier, the Election Commission had asked Rs 7 billion from the government to complete all tasks related to the fresh CA poll.
