Fire guts property worth Rs 1 million in Biratnagar
BIRATNAGAR: Property worth one million rupees was destroyed by fire in four houses in Biratnagar Sub-Metropolitan City this morning.
The property was destroyed after four houses of two families caught fire, according to the District Police Office, Morang.
The fire started from a house of Bhagawan Majhi of Biratnagar Sub-Metropolitan City and also destroyed the house of Raj Kishor Majhi.
The fire destroyed Rs. 60,000, six tolas of gold, 100 tolas of silver, food grains, utensils, clothes, and other goods, said police.
Police added fire engine, police and locals brought the fire under control.Meanwhile, police seized around five quintals of betel nuts from Biratnagar-20, Thursday night.
