Honest Nepali returns lost valuables of a tourist



SOLUKHUMBU: A man who found cash and other articles lost by an Indian tourist has returned the goods to the owner. Indrahang Limbukhim had found Indian Rs. 21,000, a Sony camera, debit and visa cards, pen drive, purse and diary Sudan Chintamani Panase had lost on the way to Chaurikharka.

Panase had informed the community police station at Chaurikharka that he had lost his goods on the way. Limbukhim called the police to inform that he had found the goods. Police reached his house to take custody of the goods.

Police held a small function at Lukla on Monday to return the goods. Limbukhim returned the goods to Panase in the presence of local intellectuals, representatives of the civil society, chiefs of the Area Police Office and the Airport Security Guard, and journalists.

Receiving the goods, Panase expressed happiness over the honesty of the Nepali people. He said the Nepalis and Indians have brotherly relations. He also thanked the police and rewarded Limbukhim with Rs. 800 in Indian currency
