RSS scribe thrashed

KATHMANDU: Ramesh Lamsal , a reporter with the Rastriya Samachar Samiti ( RSS ), the national news agency, was assaulted by unidentified assailants on Thursday night while returning home from the office.

The attack on journalist Lamsal took place on the eve of the World Press Freedom Day.

Lamsal was assaulted by unidentified men who came on two motorcycles near Nepaltar at local Manamaiju VDC. Lamsal has sustained face injuries due to the beating.

Lamsal said that the assailants had been following the office vehicle from Balaju By-pass itself and started beating him as soon as he got off the vehicle.
