Nepalis in Brunei observe Ubhauli festival

KATHMANDU: A musical concert program was organized at the British Gurkha Military Camp in Seria in Brunei on the Kirant Ubhauli festival.

Pop star Sabin Rai, singer Indira Joshi and folk-modern singer Bhishan Mukarung offered a full range o entertainment to the audience, where the audience danced along with the artistes, said World Nepali Literary Federation General Secretary Biswodeep Tigela.

Artists living in Brunei Kamala Lavung, Silvia Limbu, Rekha Gurung, Pingala Thapamagar and Hangma Limbu also made interesting presentations.

As high as 700 Nepalis were present at the program. Organizers said that the program was organized to celebrate Buddha Jayanti, Sakela Ubhauli and Yekwa Tangnam festivals.
