Strike affects normal life in Tharu dominated districts in Tarai

NEPALGUNJ: The normal life in the Tarai districts mostly dominated by the Tharu including Banke, Bardiya, Kailali, Kanchanpur and some others has been affected due to an indefinite shutdown enforced by the Freed Kamlari System Struggle Committee .

Vehicular movements, schools, markets and industries have closed in the districts.

The Committee has demanded a fair probe into the murder of Kamlari Srijana Chaudhary and proper management of the Kamlari, identity cards, among others.

The committee has warned to continue the banda until and unless their demands are addressed.

However, the Committee has withdrawn the general shutdown in the districts of Tarai from today.
