Two die in road mishap in Kanchanpur

KANCHANPUR: Two persons died and 17 others were injured in a road accident near Bani Doda bridge in Kanchanpur district along the East-West Highway this morning.

The dead bodies have not been identified yet, police said. The condition of the three among the injured in the incident is critical, according to Kul Bahadur Saud, Sub-Inspector at Area Police Office, Krishnapur.

Fourteen among the injured are undergoing treatment in Padma Hospital at Attariya while critically injured three are undergoing treatment at Mahakali Zonal Hospital, Mahendranagar, said Sub Inspector Saud.

The bus (Na 3 Kha 1195) heading towards Dhangadhi from Mahendranagar met with an accident while the bus tried to save a pedestrian at around 10:45 am.
