Nepal’s PSC marks 63rd anniversary



KATHMANDU: The Public Service Commission (PSC) has introduced Optical Mark Reader (OMR) system from this fiscal year to examine the objective questions’ answer-sheets to make the government officials’ selection process and result more qualitative. 

At a program organized on the 63rd anniversary of the PSC, Chairwoman of the PSC Dr Kayodevi Yami said the tasks of reform of exam system and curriculum would be continued for prompt and effective performance of the PSC. 

She said the PSC was committed to ensuring a free, fair and competitive selection process of the candidates. 

Secretary at the PSC Nathu Prasad Chaudhary said the integrated examinations system implemented in the selection process of non-gazetted (nontechnical) officials would be implemented in the selection process of the gazetted third class officers as well from the next fiscal year.
