Book fair concludes; books worth Rs 800,000 sold
KATHMANDU: The literary exhibition organised by the Nepal Academy on the occasion of its 56th anniversary has concluded today.
Books worth Rs 800,000 were sold in the exhibition, according to the Academy.
The exhibition organised since June 19 witnessed the footfall of as many as 10,000 visitors.
Books of stories, essays, novels, poems, plays, and research-based pieces including others published by the Academy since its establishment were kept in the exhibition.
Books of Nepali, Maithili, Bhojpuri, Limbu, English and Hindi languages, among others, were also kept in the exhibition, coordinator of the exhibition, Uttamraj Upadhyay said.
Upadhyay said that the exhibition has offered a better opportunity to booklovers to purchase books of different genres.
