Army Chief on a week-long China visit

KATHMANDU: Nepal’s Chief of Army Staff Gaurav Shumsher JB Rana left here today on a week-long visit of China at the invitation of the Chief of the Chinese Liberation Army General Fang Fenghui.

The CoAS was seen off at Tribhuvan International Airport by Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Wu Chintai and high-ranking Nepal Army and Defense Ministry officials, according to NA Public Relations Directorate.

Chief of Staff Netra Bahadur Thapa will assume the responsibility as Acting CoAS during the absence of CoAS Rana, adds the Directorate.
