One dead, two injured in Panchthar road accident

PANCHTHAR: One person died and two others were injured in a road accident in Panchthar district.

The accident took place when a tractor (Me 1 Ta 3224) heading towards Khamdimbe, Taplejung from Phidim fell some 30 meters down from the road at Phidim-Jorsal road section.

The tractor was carrying goods. The tractor driver Birdal Danuwar of Jhapa Dhulabari died on the spot. The injured are Purna Maya Tamang of Jorsal, Phidim and Balkumar Khadka of Khamdimbe, Taplejung.

The injured are rushed to Dharan for further treatment, said police. Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, Nepal Army and locals had rescued the deceased Tamang. She was trampled by the same tractor.
