Two persons killed, over 18 injured in Jhapa road mishap

DAMAK: Two persons died and over 18 people were injured in a road accident at Surunga in Jhapa district this morning. 

The deceased are Ganga Sapkota, 35, of Damak-10 and Shishir Limbu, 43, of Bharaul-3 in Sunsari district. 

Sapkota died while undergoing treatment at Birtamod-based Kanchanjangha Hospital and Limbu at Manmohan Hospital, said police. The accident took place when a bus (Me 1 Kha 1298) heading towards Kakadvitta from Damak overturned after being out of control, said Sub Inspector Madan Mainali. 

The injured are undergoing treatment at different hospitals at Damak, Birtamod and Neuro Hospital, Biratnagar. RSS
