Two killed in rain havoc in Mugu

MUGU: A woman from Kimri VDC of the district died when her house collapsed owing to heavy rain on Wednesday morning.

Sagmu Lama, 51, from Karti village of the Kimri VDC-4 in the district died in the house ruin, said Balbir Rawal, chief at the

Pulu Police Post. A police team was deputed for the rescue, he added. It takes almost two days’ trek from the district headquarters to Karti village. Even 85-year-old mother-in-law of Sagmu, Sonam, was reported injured in the incident.

Meanwhile, a person died after a landslip swept him away in Palpa district the same day. Dilaram Basyal, 46, from Khanigaon-6 was repairing a canal with friends when the landslip fell on him.
