Election on time: NC leader Ram Chandra
KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress Vice-president Ram Chandra Poudel has said that upcoming CA election would be held on slated time, November 19.
At a meeting with the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office Director for South Asian Affairs Giles Thompson this morning, the Nepali Congress Vice-president said the election should be held in time and, for that, the international community was ready to cooperate.
During the meeting held at the Poudel residence at Bohoratar in Kathmandu, they held talks on the latest political situation of Nepal, ongoing talks among political parties and international cooperation for election, said Poudel’s aide Chiranjivi Adhikari.
On the occasion, Director Thompson enquired about the election preparations for Constituent Assembly (CA) and the progress made on talks among parties for ensuring participation of all parties in election.
Poudel also informed him that talks process was intensified with dissenting parties to hold election on November 19 and expressed the belief that the talks will be fruitful.
