Industrialist Murarka no more



KATHMANDU: Industrialist Atmaram Murarka has passed away this morning in the capital. Atmaram, also Chairman of the Murarka Organization, was 72.

Murarka passed away while undergoing treatment at Norvic International Hospital. He was long been suffering from respiratory related diseases.

Late Murarka has contributed significantly in the establishment and operation of cement, paint, and iron rod industries, hydropower, banks and financial institutions, food, tea, vegetable ghee, oil and other dozens of industries.

He leaves behind a wife, two sons and two daughters.

The last rites will be performed at Pashupati Aryaghat today, according to the Organization.

Different, business related communities including Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI) have expressed sorrow over the demise of its former Vice President and father of current Vice President Pashupati Murarka.

Likewise, NMB Bank has expressed grief over the passing away of its Chairman and condoled the bereaved family.
