Road accidents in Eastern Nepal kill 3, including an infant
UDAYAPUR: Three persons including an infant died in separate road accidents last night. The one-and-a half month son of Chandrakala Shrestha of Triyuga Municipality died when an ambulance (Sa 1 Cha 495) heading towards East from West overturned at Kalyanpur along the East-West Highway Monday night.
Similarly, three persons were injured in the same accident. The injured are Bhupnarayan Shrestha, 50, Chandrakala Shrestha, 36 and Somnarayan Shrestha, 60.
The injured have been sent to Biratnagar-based Neuro Hospital and the ambulance driver is under the control of Area Police Office, Kalyanpur.
Likewise, Bhola Bista, 23, of Pipra Paschim-2 died on the spot when a tanker (Na 4 Kha 3038) hit him at Pipra Paschim along the Kadmaha Gaighat road section, said police.
Likewise, amotorcyclist died on the spot in a road accident at Sukrauli along the Bhumahi- Bhairahawa road section on Monday night.
The deceased is Purna Bahadur BK, 26, of Jamuniya-8, Nwalparasi, said police. The accident took place when a truck (Na 3 Kha 4158) knocked the motorbike (Lu 15 Pa 5105) he was riding.
