Buddhists organize rally to set up statue in Kakrebihar
KATHMANDU: The Joint Concerned Committee for the installation of Buddha statue at Kakrebihar in Surkhet district in mid-western Nepal, organised a rally in the capital today to pressurise for setting up the statue.
The rally that started from Basantapur Dabali went through New Road, Bagbazaar, Padmodaya turning and converged into a mass meeting at Exhibition Road.
At the programme held under the leadership of the Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities, its Chairman Nagendra Kumal and others emphasized on the need of establishment of the Buddha statue at the archeological site of Kakrebihar.
