Rabbies infected dog-bit kills daugther, father in Jajarkot

JAJARKOT: A father and daughter in Jajarkot district died after they were bitten by a rabid dog. The deceased have been identified as Bal Bahadur Thapa, 55, and his daughter Harikala, 22, of Dhime VDC-1.

They died as they did not take vaccine against rabies. The rabid dog has bitten more than 15 persons in Dhime VDC.

The victims have been facing problems due to lack of vaccine against rabies though they reached the district headquarters searching for the vaccine, it is learnt.
