Workers clash with Himalayan Distillery management
BIRGUNJ: The management and workers at the Himalayan Distillery, in Parsa district, have clashed on Tuesday after the workers demanded that the distillery industry should provide remuneration as managed by the Labor Act.
The workers also clashed with the police personnel who reached there to calm down the situation, locals said.
The clash occurred between the management and the workers after the workers staged protest demanding proper remuneration as managed by the Labour Act, stated the District Police Office, Parsa.
Leaders of the Distillery Industry Workers claimed that some of the workers were injured in the clash while the management side refuted the claim.
Police Superintendent at the District Police Office, Parsa, Dhiraj Pratap Singh, said the situation has become normal in the industry now.
