Regmi flying off to New York for UNGA



KATHMANDU: Chairman of Interim Election Council Khil Raj Regmi is flying to New York on Thursday to participate in the 68th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

During his six day visit, he is slated to address the General Assembly, hold separate meetings with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Saturday.

In his address to the UN General Assembly, Regmi is scheduled to elaborate on Nepal’s experience in integrating Maoist combatants in national army, about the recent efforts to hold second round of Constituent Assembly elections on November 19, a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated.

Regmi will return to Kathmandu on October 1.
