Unidentified woman found dead on Bhaktapur highway

BHAKTAPUR: A dead body of a woman was found on Friday morning at the road next to the Jagati Adharsha Bus Stop of Bhaktapur. The body of a woman of around 35 years of age was found on the main road of the Araniko highway, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Ramesh Thapa.

The woman was found to carry injuries to her head and her left hand fractured, police said.

The locals found the body and informed police at 4:00 this morning. Following necessary procedure, the body has been sent to TU Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj for a post-mortem.

Meanwhile, Bhaktapur police has begun investigation into the incident and efforts are on to find the identity of the woman believed to have been murdered.
