Federalism talks hindered statute drafting: KC
ARGHAKHANCHI (RSS): Chairman of Rastriya Janamorcha Chitra Bahadur KC has claimed that a new constitution was not drafted due to federalism and its scrap was the need of the hour.
Speaking at a press meet organised by Progressive Journalists’ Association, Arghakhanchi here today, leader KC who is against federalism in the country said such idea was not the necessity of country, rather it was forcefully introduced following directions from foreign forces.
He stressed the need of unity among the political parties to establish republic Nepal and added that although the major political parties made maxim efforts to convince the CPN-Maoist to join the November 19 Constituent Assembly (CA) election, the party wished to remain out of the electoral process.
“Any forces wanting to disintegrate the country will be defeated in the next CA election,” he said
