Nepal calls for renewed ruling roadmap
RAUTAHAT: Former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has called on Nepali Congress to set the stage for forming government on the basis of Constituent Assembly election’s mandate.
The senior CPN UML leader said that as the largest party in the CA, Nepali Congress (NC) should form a consensus government in its leadership.
Talking to journalists in his home district, Gaur on Thursday, Nepal said that his party’s present priority is to draft the constitution and claimed that the objective is attainable through the formation of a consensus government.
Responding to the ongoing debate on appointing a new President, Nepal said that NC’s consensus government formation plan should include the President replacement issue in it.
Stating that his party is waiting for NC’s decision on the issue, he urged that Congress should respond to the demand by considering the renewed political situation.
