CA to discuss CPDCC report from tomorrow

KATHMANDU:  Business Advisory Committee of the Constituent Assembly (CA) decided to call a meeting of the CA for 5:00 pm on Thursday.

Lawmaker Dhanraj Gurung said that the CA meeting tomorrow will begin discussion on the report of Constitutional-Political Dialogue and Consensus Committee (CPDCC).

The Baburam Bhattarai-led committee had submitted its report on Sunday. The CA meeting will send the issues, resolved in the CPDCC, to the Constitution Drafting Committee and it will decide what to do with disputed issues.

Political parties have not yet forged consensus on different issues including form of governance, state restructuring, judicial system and election system.

The CPDCC could not carry out works as political parties failed to forge consensus on the issues by the deadline of September 6 given to the Committee. RSS
