Suicide cases on rise in Dadeldhura

DADELDHURA, March 17: Lal Bahadur Sarki of Amargadi Muncipality-7 of the district was found hanging in his house on Thursday. It has been learnt that the 35-year-old committed suicide over family dispute.

Similarly, Bharat Bahadur Aire (55) of Ajmere-4 committed sucide by hanging himself on Sunday and Keshav Diyal of Amargadi committed suicide by consuming poison on Monday.

DSP Yogendra Thapa, Chief of the District Police Office, Dadeldhura informed that 14 cases of suicide have been reported in the last six months of the current fiscal year.

According to a report of the DPO, three persons were found dead in the last five days.

Unemployment, poverty and family disputes are the reasons behind the escalating cases of suicide said DSP Thapa.
