Biker‚ pillion rider injured in Balaju bus-bike collision
KATHMANDU, March 21: A bike rider was critically injured and a pillion rider sustained minor injuries in a bus-bike collision in Balaju on Saturday.
According to the Metropolitan Police Circle, Balaju, the mishap occurred when the bus (Ba 1 Kha 6185) heading towards Kathmandu from Nuwakot collided head-on with the bike (Ba 15 Pa 8406) coming from the opposite direction at around 10 am today.
Police said that critically injured bike rider Hari Nagarkoti (45) of Tarkeshwor-8, Goldhunga was rushed to the Janamaitri Hospital in Balaju after the incident. He was later referred to the Neuro Hospital, Bansbari.
Pillion rider Kali Nagarkoti (25), however, is receiving treatment at the Janamaitri Hospital.
Police said that they have impounded the bus and arrested its driver for investigation.
