5 Indians killed in Makwanpur
MAKWANPUR, March 23: Five people died in a car accident at Kulekhani-6 of Makwanpur district along Kathmandu-Hetauda alternative route on Sunday. Two children have sustained injuries in the accident.
Sixty-year-old Ghanshyam Prasad and 63-year-old Deviyanti Devi died on the spot while Riya Barma, 10, Basantosh Teda, 60 and Piyas Barman, 10 died in course of treatment at Kathmandu-based hospitals.
The injured 8-year-old Aryan Barman and 12-year-old Rishi Barman are receiving treatment at Vayodha Hospital, Kathmandu.
There were seven people on board the car, including the driver.
The car bearing Indian number plate (JH 01 BG 7207) was en route to Kathmandu from Hetauda when it skidded off the road and plunged some 200 meters down at Simkhola, Kulekhani-6.
It is learnt that the injured and deceased belong from a same family.
