Illegal VOIP operator held in Hetauda

HETAUDA, Apr 8: Police have arrested a man for illegally operating Voice-over Internet Protocol (VoIP) call centre in Hetauda on Tuesday.

Acting on a tip-off, a joint police team deployed from the Central Investigation Bureau and District Police Office, Makwanpur raided a house of Suraj Joshi (31) at Hetauda-4 and nabbed him for illegally running VoIP call centre.

Police have confiscated an eight-port GoIP device, SIM cards of NTC and Ncell, one data traveler, one router, two adaptors and one charger among others from his room.

Police said that they are looking into the case.
