Biker‚ pillion rider injured as bus hits scooter in Tanahun

TANAHU, Apr 10: A biker and a pillion rider were critically injured when a bus hit a scooter they were riding on in Ghansikuwa-5 of Tanahun on Thursday.

Police identified the injured persons as biker Ramesh Parajuli (29) of Byas-3 and Amrit Khadka (27) of Byas-4.

Police said that the incident occurred when the bus (Na 4 Kha 3631) en route to Mugling from Pokhara hit the two-wheeler (Ga 8 Pa 5563) coming from opposite direction.

Critically Parajuli and Khadka were rushed to the Damauli-based Ratnahari Hospital after the incident.

They were later sent to the Pokhara-based Manipal Hospital for further treatment, the District Police Office, Tanahun informed.

The Area Police Office, Abukhaireni impounded the bus and arrested its driver Jhilke Gurung for investigation.
