4 girls jump into Mahakali river
DARCHULA, APR 13: Four school girls went missing after jumping into the Mahakali River apparantly after failing their exams. The missing teens aged 13 to 14 years old are the students of grades 6 and 7 at Daktu-based Rastriya Higher Secondary School.
According to school teacher Rajendra Samanta, the missing students have been identified as Mamta, Chunra, Puja Koli and Mitu Lohar.
The incident came to light after an Indian national from across the border saw the students jumping into the river. The place from where the students jumped is closer to the Indian border and is 21 km away from the district headquarters, Darchula.
The students, who had gone to the school to see their results, returned soon after finding that they failed the exams.
