Indian PM expresses grief

KATHMANDU, APR 17: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed grief over the passing away of Nepal’s former Prime Minister Surya Bahadur Thapa.

Modi expressed grief on Thapa’s demise and extended condolences to the bereaved family, said a brief statement posted in PMO India’s Twitter handle.

Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj visited the Medanta Hospital on Thursday morning to pay tribute to the late leader. His body was brought to Kathmandu on Thursday evening.
