PM Koirala and DPM Gautam visit quake-devastated Dolakha, Ramechhap
Kathmandu, May 14: Prime Minister Sushil Koirala, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Bamdev Gautam have today set out to inspect the areas in Dolakha and Ramechhap affected by the earthquake on April 25 and the powerful aftershocks on April 26 and May 12.
The two leaders have left for making an observation of the two districts by a Nepalese Army helicopter and would inspect the most affected areas there if possible and also give directives for relief distribution, according to Prakash Adhikari, the PM’s press advisor.
Prime Minister Koirala and Home Minister Gautam are scheduled to first go to Dolakha and observe the quake-affected areas and then go to Ramechhap to take stock of the situation there and issue directives, he added.
Before this also the Prime Minister had visited Barpak of Gorkha district, the epicentre of the April 25 quake, Dhading, Nuwakot and other districts suffering heavy damage due to the disaster.
