CIAA officials arrest two engineers with bribe money

Kawasoti, July 5: Two engineers have been arrested on charge of taking bribe money from a users’ committee in Nawalparasi district today.

The officials from the Butwal-based Liaison Office of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) arrested Ishwori Prasad Dhakal and Yogendra Mishra red-handed with the bribe money from their offices.

The engineers of the Western Regional Irrigation Development Division Office No. 7 were held with Rs 56,000 bribe money.

It is learnt that the engineers accepted the bribe from the Semarhawa Tilakpur Irrigation Users’ Committee, promising to prepare the false report of the project completion. RSS
