Indian Ambassador Rae calls on Chairman Dahal

Kathmandu, Sept 11: Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Ranjit Rae, has called on UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal at the latter’s residence in Lazimpat today.
During the meeting, they discussed on the ongoing constitution writing process and roles played by political parties in this regard, it is learnt.
On the occasion, Chairman Dahal said that the major political parties were active to promulgate the new constitution as soon as possible through consensus of all, said Dahal’s aide Shiva Khakurel.
Chair Dahal said that initiatives have been taken to address the grievances of different communities at different places across the nation after the delineation of the federal provinces.
Stating that India was in favour of promulgating the new constitution as soon as possible, the Indian Ambassador urged Chairman Dahal to take maximum initiatives to bring the disgruntled groups to consensus. RSS
