Clean up programme to welcome new constitution
Kathmandu, Sept. 20: Sanitation campaigns have been organised in different parts of the city to welcome the new constitution today.
Politicians, intellectuals, social workers and common people have joined hands together in the cleanup events celebrating the new constitution.
Likewise, the folks are also making preparations for candle lighting this evening on the happy mood to welcome the promulgation of the Constitution of Nepal, 2072.
The government has also announced public holiday for today and tomorrow, urging one and all to celebrate the new constitution by taking out rallies and other programmes.
President Dr Ram Baran Yadav is scheduled to promulgate the new constitution at 5:00 pm today amid a special function to be organised in the Constituent Assembly (CA) Building.
In Rasuwa, locals conducted a sanitation programme at the call of Rasuwa Chamber of Commerce and Industry this morning. Civil society leaders, representatives of women’s groups and personnel of Nepal Police, Nepal Army and Armed Police Force collected as high as five tonnes of garbage. RSS
