New Constitution foundation for stronger democracy and political stability
Kathmandu, Sept. 20: Switzerland has expressed the hope that the new Constitution will be the foundation for ever stronger democracy, political stability and sustainable social and economic development in Nepal.
Describing the promulgation of Nepal’s new Constitution an important milestone towards the conclusion of the peace process, a statement issued by the Swiss Embassy here today says that Switzerland expects that the institutions and mechanisms established by the new Constitution would be used for a constructive dialogue between all political forces to resolve outstanding differences in a peaceful and non-violent way.
As a long-standing friend of Nepal, Switzerland reaffirms its continued commitment and full support to the Government and the people of Nepal for the further social and economic development of the country and the transition to the new federal state structure, adds the statement. RSS
