Kathmandu, Sept 21: UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that new era has begun in the country with the promulgation of the Constitution of Nepal, 2072.

Addressing the new constitution celebration programme organized by the government in coordination with the three major political parties at Tundikhel in the capital today, Chair Dahal began his speech reciting the poems written by Rastrakavi Madhav Ghimire and poet Gopal Prasad Rimal.

The new constitution has materialized the dream of people to have a new constitution written by the people themselves, Dahal added.

He added that the implementation phase of the new constitution would be more challenging and participation of all sides and people would be essential. Chair Dahal added that the main features of the new constitution are federal democratic republic, inclusiveness, secularism and religious freedom.
