PM Koirala-TMDP chair Thakur hold discussions

Kathmandu, Sept 22: A discussion was held between Prime Minister Sushil Koirala and Tarai Madhes Democratic Party (TMDP) chair Mahantha Thakur at TMDP office, Bijuli Bazaar in the capital today. They held discussions about the latest political development among other issues.

On the occasion, PM Koirala urged leader Thakur for dialogue as all the issues could be resolved through dialogue.

In response to PM Koirala’s request, leader Thakur said that they had difficulties to sit for dialogue as ruling parties’ leaders vitiated the environment for dialogue.

Similarly, following the meeting, Minister for Forests and Soil Conservation Mahesh Acharya informed that PM Koirala said most of the issues of Madhesi people were addressed in the constitution and the remaining issues could be addressed through amendment.

The party Co-chair Hridayesh Tripathi blamed the political parties for spoiling the environment rather than solving the issues as the Tarai issues were political.
