Border blockade is caused by Indian sides: leader Gachchhadar
Bhaktapur, Sept 29: A meeting has been held between Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (Democratic) chair Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar and Terai Madhes Democratic Party chair Mahantha Thakur at latter’s residence at Sanothimi in the district today.
Issues related to indirect border blockade by Indian sides, ongoing terai protests and response to the recently formed dialogue team by big three parties were discussed in the meeting.
Following the meeting, chair Gachchhadar told journalists that the border blockade was caused by Indian sides due to the ongoing protest of Madhesi and Tharu people in terai belt.
He added that the border blockade caused by Indian sides in the eve of Dashain and other major festivals was not good as it has caused shortage of petroleum products and other consuming items as well.
Chair Gachchhadar said that the ruling parties and government should initiate to open the barricaded borders. He clarified that the border blockade was not caused by agitating parties as it was done by Indian sides.
Leader Gachchhadar urged ruling parties and government to be more responsible to resolve the problem.
He said that the Madhes-centric parties were preparing to hold discussions this evening on the modality of holding dialogues with government and the meeting may create environment to sit for dialogue with government tomorrow. RSS
