Shakti Samuha’s Sunita Danuwar bags Asia Democracy and Human Rights Award

KATHMANDU: Nepal’s Sunita Danuwar was honoured with the the Asia Democracy and Human Rights Award by the Taiwan Foundation for Democracy in Taipei of Taiwan on Thursday.

Danuwar received the prestigious award as an acknowledgement of her contribution in human rights movement and crusade against girls trafficking in Nepal, according to Shakti Samuha.

The Award carries a purse of USD 1,00,000.
